A MESSAGE FROM THE TOTOWA FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Totowa Fire Department is asking you to check the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home. The life expectancy for a smoke detector is usually ten years and carbon monoxide detectors is seven. The manufacture dates are located on the backs of the detectors and is easily checked.

Please check the batteries on all of your detectors. Don’t hesitate to call the Fire Department when the detectors are activated. It’s always better to play it safe!
