Councilwoman Carolyn Fontanella
Carolyn Fontanella has resided in the Borough of Totowa since 1974. Along with her husband Al, she has raised their three children Jimmy, Christin and Alexa in our community. Following her graduation from Seton Hall University School of Nursing in 1984, she began working at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson. She is currently employed as the office manager at her family business, Festa Memorial Funeral Home.
She was a member and past president of the Totowa Board of Education, and also a member and past vice-president of the executive Board of the Passaic Valley Football Parent’s Association.
Carolyn currently supports various community sponsored activities such as the Totowa PAL, the Totowa Board of Recreation, and DARE. She is also involved in charitable fund-raising events including the Luv-Life Foundation, which supports a young woman in our community, and the Bishop Rodimer Community Center.
For her continued support of Totowa PBA 80, she was recognized as the recipient of the 2009 Totowa PBA Silver Card Award. Carolyn is a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church. She is currently a member of the Totowa Boro Republican Club.
